Pretty not too good. Diaz tried hard, but ultimately failed and I just couldn't stand her as usual. Breslin I like, but she just couldn't perform the role that well. Even Alec, well...I don't know where to go at this point, because the writing itself wasn't very good.
I didn't actually read more than 6 pages of the book, but the film is in fact quite different and definitely not for the better. Movie was icky icky.
