Review of My Own Private Idaho (1991) by Hannah L — 30 Apr 2008
Van Sant's "classic" is deserving of that reputation. This film's style shows you life in a way you've never seen it before, and it is exhilarating to watch and moving from start to finish.
I thought the narcolepsy gag got a little too repetitive, and it is a little too intentionally drawn to the perverse, but still it's a crazy road trip that you'll never forget. Also, Pheonix and Reeves' best acting.
