Review of My Own Private Idaho (1991) by Joanna N — 04 Oct 2008
Another edgy Van Sant drama that hardly kept me on the edge of my seat. I found the plot somewhat difficult to follow, and the slips into poetic, Shakespearean language jarring. I was left feeling that the film needed to be longer to really establish the characters and complete the story arc, but that I wouldn't have wanted to continue watching if it were any longer.
An interesting but unfulfilling movie.
