Review of My Own Private Idaho (1991) by Andriy D — 02 Oct 2009
Gus van Sant's masterpiece. One of my favorite films of all time. Even a shitty actor like Reeves cant ruin it, when he is juxtaposed with the great actor River Phoenix. Feels like a true Bildungsroman.
In part adopted from Shakespeare and based on realities of gay hustler life in the Northwest. A wonderful movie.
