I didn't get the full idea of the film. it seemed somewhat confusing for me what van Sant wanted to prove, but i'm sure that after a rewatch I might understand that better. as for the rest, the acting was just superb, with a much younger and still talented Keanu Reeves, and River Phoenix, whose soul may rest in peace, would surely become one of the best acting stars for nowadays.

also, loved the really spectacular outdoor shots, a signature already quite known from van Sant.
