Review of My Own Private Idaho (1991) by Javier A — 26 Dec 2009
I was looking to watch this movie for a long time ago. Finally I got the chance, all the buzz I heard before was real. This sad picture creates a lovely portrait of man relationships, depression, and the landscapes of United States.
Gus Van Sant has his sign in every second of the film. River Phoenix is amazing. A beloved character, so powerful and weal at the time. Keanu Reeves has always look gay in flick, this one is a response for all that.
Very interesting plot, nice dialogues, and great photography and soundtrack. It´s one of the first gay themed movies that came out on the 90´s.
