Gave this film another day in court, likely for the first time since watching with buddies on VHS in the early '90s, and I was amazed to see how much I had either forgotten or missed altogether on the first viewing, particularly the stagey dialog that exists due to the loose connections the plotting has to Henry IV.
The cinematography is gorgeous, and the film looks great upscaled on a Blu-ray player, so I'm happy to have finally given it its due.
