Review of My Name Is Khan (2010) by Majbritt W — 21 May 2010
"Bollywood" with a difference. No big song and dance numbers in this one...
A very good film with a very important message, and it is a shame that it hasn't been out in more cinemas.
It is the aftermath of 9/11. There is a lot of racial tension and citizens are targeted for all the wrong reasons. After the tragic death of his stepson, Rizvan Khan sets out to meet the president of the US. He only has one message for the president; "My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist.
On his journey he touches the hearts of many people with his selfless acts and his innocence...
This film has an important message and a rather sad back drop. It still manages to make you laugh as well though, so definetely worth watching.
