Review of My Name Is Khan (2010) by Jon C — 15 Aug 2010
What can I say but....wow.
This is the way to make an influential Bollywood film.
It's an insanely long movie but it gives so much and touches so much ground.
Labeling, fear, trust, love, famliy, tolerance, re-examining, uniting, conversing.
All the elements of being human and coming from another country are perfectly touched upon.
It's like 'Forrest Gump' if he was from India.
You will smile, laugh, cry and cheer with applause at the heart and sheer power of the film's morals.
It also says that even a man not from the United States can be like ordinary people: rise to the occasion, achieve the impossible, impact so many lives and finally complete a life-long journey.
