This American Bollywood-type drama had a lot of potential but the movie turned out to be a big dud. I don't know if the attempt to make such a serious, tragic and potentially inspirational story Bollywood style was the problem or not but the parts of the film that should have had the most emotional punch were weighed down with fast-paced Indian music and an insane amount of montages.

The writer either doesn't fully understand Asperger's Syndrome or simply doesn't care to (there was even a disclaimer before the movie started that Asperger's Syndrome might not be correctly portrayed), the story was extremely contrived and unbelievable, the dialog often ridiculous and some of the ignorant American characters were overly stereotyped.

Not to mention the movie is almost two and a half hours and at least 40 minutes too long - just cutting a few of the many, MANY montages could have brought down the running time to a more appropriate level to tell this story.

Too bad... after seeing the trailer, I was really looking forward to this film.
