Review of My Name Is Khan (2010) by S S — 06 Mar 2011

I actually enjoyed the first half of the movie very much. The second half was one of the worst things I have seen. I found it ironic that this movie came out with underlying message that it's not right to stereotype Muslims in a certain way.

..yet the people behind the film had no qualms about reinforcing general american stereotypes and the utterly disgraceful stereotypes of African Americans was just truly appalling. Being from that part of the world (sub continent), how black people were shown was actually not surprising, unfortunately.

I would rate the first half 7/10, second half 4/10. Overall 5.5/10.
