Review of My Name Is Faith (2012) by Reini U — 13 Nov 2013
Next to this years best feature movie "Short Term 12", the documentary "My Name Is Faith" which was also not accepted at Sundance, explains the difficult situation of troubled children, here kids with so-called "Reactive Attachment Disorder" with private foster parents, in the feature a state-owned foster-care facility.
"My Name is Faith" is a must-see on US National TV, and there are already contracts signed, but it's difficult one. You never accept all the parenting methods this group develops with their bad apples, some will not accept that you divide your kids visibly into bad and good apples as in the hilarious "Donnie Darko" lifeline scene, some kids clearly had no only curable post-traumatic symptoms, you could not show the more severe outbreaks to protect the kids and families, more questions than answers.
But it's a must see for anyone who struggles with parenting and who wants to adopt older kids.
