Review of My Name Is Bruce (2007) by Aj S — 19 Jul 2010
You seriously cannot ask for anything better than this from Bruce Campbell, except maybe a 4th Evil Dead, but still what a fun movie this was. Bruce Campbell as...Bruce Campbell is mistaken to be a real life monster killer thanks to his "Evil Dead" fame, he's called into action by some teens in a small town who're are being overrun by an ancient Chinese evil demon.
The writing in this film is clever, after all, Bruce isn't afraid to spoof himself no matter what, and that's what makes Bruce the BEST! Bruce's buddy Ted Raimi has some multiple characters he plays, one notable as a wise Chinaman, Wing, probably the most racist thing to come off the screen since Short Round in "Temple of Doom", but who cares its great B-Movie fun.
