Review of My Man Godfrey (1936) by Chris P — 10 Mar 2008
The best screwball comedy ever made. Powell and Lombard are perfect, as always, and the picture brilliantly subverts genre conventions when it comes to Powell's relationship with the two sisters.
It's also, as with the best screwballs, completely daffy. This is a lifetime Top 10-er for sure.
