This film is essentially the TV series, but better looking. It's beautiful, with some fun new characters added. There isn't much to the plot - if you like My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, the TV series, you will like this film.
Children will love it for the original characters and voices returning, as well as the fun musical numbers. Liev Schreiber as the Storm King actually really surprised me, with his voice acting. You would NEVER know it's him!
