Review of My Little Pony: The Movie (2017) by Duncan P — 13 Oct 2017
An absolute delight. It does exactly what I hoped it would, by not simply reproducing everything I love about the show (which it did, even down to the corniness that I love about it), but also allowing little darker story than they'd get away with in the show, thanks to throwing the ponies out of the somewhat insulated world of Equestria and into a more cynical Big Bad World. Some great tunes and a thoroughly cathartic message about positivity winning, and how simple kindness to someone can not just make a world of difference to them, but also a difference to the world.
Obviously not for everyone, probably won't win any new converts, but I'm already a fan and I loved it, so that's what matters, I'd say.
