Review of My Little Pony: The Movie (2017) by Peyton R — 07 Oct 2017
So I went into this movie a really big fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Even though I'm a fan of the series, I have a tendency to criticize episodes for stuff anywhere between an episode that I found to be severely boring to a lower rating just because I didn't like one thing.
I have to say that this movie was worth the time traveling there ad watching it! The animation style was beautiful right as the movie started, which eased my worries that I had when I first entered it, as the series animation was a different style.
Another thing that was impressive was both the film score and the songs that were performed by the talented cast, which reminded me of both the series and something of its own style. Now time for the big money: the plot.
Though it would be more enjoyable to know what happened in the first few seasons, one of the both of the people who went with me had no knowledge of anything that happened in the series and they enjoyed it a little bit, which is better than nothing! Another thing with the plot is that it was well executed and had only 2 moments that I saw coming, which is good compared to most of the movies that I've watched in the past.
Overall, if you're still on the fence for this movie, I'd recommend watching it not because of how great it is, but to experience it yourself! It's an experience that you have to witness with your own eyes in order to figure out if it's worth it or not.
The last thing I'd like to say is that you shouldn't be deterred by the critic rating, because this is truly worth the time you spent getting there and actually watching it. Easy 5/5 rating!
