Review of My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (2013) by Mike L — 21 Jul 2013

I'll admit. Initially, like most of my fellow Bronies, I was somewhat skeptical when I first heard about this movie. However, I was not going to write it off without giving it a chance; that would have been profusely hypocritical. So I ended up buying a ticket and drove two hours to the nearest theater playing this movie. As it turns out, it was well worth the drive. There were at least forty other Bronies there, several of which had driven even further than me.

On the subject of the movie itself, it was more than met my expectations. This picture is loaded with fan service, nods to the community, and the same lovable atmosphere and content that everyone of any age can come to enjoy. I would highly recommend this to anyone; from my two year-old niece to her father, my thirty year-old brother.
