Review of My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (2013) by Peyton R — 08 Oct 2017

So, being a big fan of the Friendship is Magic series, I was so hyped to see the creativity and style I know and love from the series in a movie that seemed to be an instant success. I had my hopes set a little high.

The plot for the entire movie is anywhere from generic to poor, with the execution of it not being much better. Also, the music isn't as good as I was expecting, with the theme song literally being a remix of the old one.

On top of that, the character that's introduced as the villain, Sunset Shimmer, is poorly written with little backstory about her until after the movie premiered. Overall, the only reason to watch this movie is to understand the future ones, mot of which are better than this one.
