Review of My Life in Ruins (2009) by Sharon A — 16 Feb 2010
This film tended to get bad reviews, but I actually liked it quite a lot.
The greek scenery was fantastic, and there were some funny bits as well.
The Greek 'george clooney' was actually quite a hunk! didn't mind him at all.
All in all, I really liked it.
Mind you, my one gripe would be as a Australian, let me point out that, 1) we don't use that much slang as what the tourist couple did. (thought it was funny when Nia's character made the point that "aussies are nice people but you don't understand half of what they say", I understood them :).
The other point is 2) Australians do not as genral drink Fosters! Personally I can't stand the stuff, and havn't seen it for sale in Australia in years.
I think it is a case of that Fosters may be the only aussie beer that is shipped overseas, so everyone thinks we what to share it with the world, no, we are just trying to get rid of it!!!
