Review of My Kid Could Paint That (2007) by Ba O — 24 Mar 2008
Its a documentary about a 4-year old girl, Marla Olmstead, that paints and sells abstract art. But there is debate as to whether or not she is actually the sole creator of her work. The movie does a great job of presenting two sides of the debate and highlighting the biggest concerns without definitively telling you what you should believe.
In the end it becomes exactly like the art its describing, largely inconclusive and open to each viewer's opinion. Regardless of who made it, the art itself is pretty cool.
