Review of My Kid Could Paint That (2007) by Rudolf R — 14 Apr 2008
Raises issues of modernism, authorship and intention if that interests you. Bar-Lev's decision to put himself in the film as skeptic torn between loyalty and truth is a bit melodramatic. I wish more time had been spent talking to critics and scholars.
Highly recommend bonus feature with Michael Kimmelman. Lucid and erudite contextualization.
