Review of My Kid Could Paint That (2007) by Jay H — 13 Jul 2008
I think it was a little rough - certainly not the best documentary i've seen. but to the director's credit, he was not afraid to put his own intentions, and inadequacies out there. I don't know too many people willing to paint themselves in a less than stellar light. all in all, I was happy with how it was left a little open ended, and that regardless of how the director felt, it was clear that he ended up caring about the girl and the family. he showed that there can be a way to question someone without stooping to sensationalism, and destructive accusations.
Definitely worth a watch.
