Review of My Favorite Year (1982) by Katie L — 28 Aug 2009
I think it's the combination of Peter O'Toole, laugh out loud comedy, that guy from "Perfect Strangers", the behind the scenes workings of a TV show, the 30 Rock setting and that shot of 45th (there's the Music Box! there's the Booth!) that made me thoroughly enjoy this movie.
Truly very funny, but it's got those moments of vulnerability/self-reflection. I find it interesting that this was loosely based on Mel Brooks' life.
