My Dog Skip is a real tear-jerker. It's a wonderful coming of age film as a young boy's childhood is forever changed by a dog Skip he gets for his birthday. The film is so many things--entertaining, dramatic, joyful, and sad.
Whatever the tone is whenever, it really gets to you emotionally, and that's the great power this film holds. An innocent harmless family film that I highly recommend.
