Review of My Date with Drew (2005) by Doug F — 04 Nov 2007

Maybe it's the fact that Drew's would-be suitor is so likeable or maybe it's the shameless movie geek in me, but 'My Date' certainly is a feel good movie in every sense of the word, all the more effective is it's premise is a simple one; can an ordinary guy with limited prospects get to date the superstar of his dreams? The journey he and his friends take to get to that goal is great fun and luckily Herzlinger has the charm to keep us entertained, whether simply queing at the post office to gatecrashing summer premieres.

Ultimatly, it's message of pursuing your dream, no matter how unrealistic it might seem rings true. And hopefully 'Drew' will win you over as it did me.
