Review of My Darling Clementine (1946) by Charles D — 07 Sep 2007
The Western for people who don't think they like Westerns. Henry Fonda is perfectly cast as Earp, with strong support from Cathy Downs and Victor Mature. The deep-focus black-and-white photography is beautiful, and the plotting right up to the climactic shoot-out is brilliantly paced.
In short, this is a formally perfect movie, a movie for people who love movies.
