Review of My Darling Clementine (1946) by Devon B — 07 Apr 2010
Very good film with great black and white cinematography of Old Arizona but lack of historical accuracy really did this in. First off, Doc Holliday does not die at the OK Corral. Secondly, James Earp does not die in 1882 and the shootout occurred in 1881.
Plus, where were the McLaurys? The directing by John Ford was good but no where near the level of Grapes of Wrath and the Quiet Man. Henry Fonda was good as Wyatt Earp but this film I believe is overrated.
