What keeps My Cousin Rachel above average in its genre is Rachel Weisz's performance and a legitimate sense of mystery but the movie neither gives us the clues to figure everything out nor enough room to develop a conclusion of our own.
Worth a watch though for fans of Daphne du Maurier.
