Mixed feelings on this one. The characters/actors were pretty bad--no one stood out as someone to really root for. Not a good way to make a movie stand out. And no part was really scary, even the scenes that SHOULD have been.
What it lacks in scare My Bloody Valentine makes up in gore. Whether that is a perk or not depends on the viewer. Where the movie really earns its star rating is with the plot. Much more believable (yet at the same time unpredictable) than most slasher plots.
Surprisingly well-done relationships/flings. Surprising amount of uncertainty even going in to the last few scenes.
