Review of My Bloody Valentine (1981) by Tim (Loves Jen) [Team Black Ops] — 24 Sep 2008

Welcome to Valentine Bluffs, the small town with a big heart. Where police procedure is a thing of the past, young horny miners struggle to seduce their girlfriends, and a psychopath from the past comes back to terrorize anybody and EVERYBODY celebrating Valentines day. That is basically everything you need to know about this movie. It has above average quality for a movie of it's kind. It's not the best shot or lit or acted film, but as far as 80's slasher flicks go it is very much above par. The cast is colorful and fun to watch, and the writing is actually quite good aside from the tragic love story that brings the movie down at times.

Over all this is a slightly above average movie with really interesting and unique kills. It's a must see for anyone who is a fan of the genre. I, personally, am planning on buying this movie.
