Review of My Babysitter's a Vampire (2010) by Walter I — 13 Jul 2011
I would have to say for a "kids show". This one is very funny as well as somewhat original in a very good way. The plots so far on the first couple of episodes have reflected upon some classic movies and televisions shows. For instance after watching "Smells Like Trouble". The first thing that came to mind was "Love Potion number nine". Both this episode and the movie were great.
The basic premiss of the show is combination of "Weird Science, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a mix of classic teenage films, and of course a mix of your newer SciFi shows. I almost forgot it also reminds me of the movie "Fright Night". If you haven't watched the original film you should. The Character of "Rory" who is played by Cameron Kennedy is allot like a character in "Fright Night".
