Review of Mutiny on the Bounty (1935) by Nate W — 08 May 2009
The stunning visuals drip with old-Hollywood extravegance, but more interesting is the human drama that unfolds aboard The Bounty. Charles Laughton and Clark Gable clash as a tyranical captain and an officer torn between his orders and his conscience.
The screenplay is nicely paced and seldom loses sight of the character-driven plot amidst the action-driven plot.
