It was action cliche after action cliche but the CG was badass and the story was decent. I'm glad John Malkovich didn't have too large of a part so his reputation wasn't tainted too badly. Ron Perlman tried to use an old world accent but failed miserably.
They really could have casted someone better. Thomas Jane's "hero" character was kind of a douche bag, bad decisions and all! There was actually a point where I thought the radical religious figure was more rational than anyone else!
