Review of Music for Millions (1944) by Trent M — 07 Dec 2009
Another odd appearance by Jose Iturbi as himself (see also: Anchors Aweigh).
Margaret O'Brien is almost irritatingly precious, but ultimately bearable. Jimmy's a hoot, but some of his numbers can go on beyond the point of entertaining. And I can't stand to see June Allyson looking on the verge of tears so I'm glad it all turns out okay in the end (all thanks to Saint Christopher???).
The supporting cast of the women in the orchestra and the ex-con uncle work very well in this one.
A cute little picture to be sure.
