It may not be anything new, but the movie has the one thing that any romantic comedy needs: chemistry between the leads. Hugh Grant is a staple of my DVD collection and Drew Barrymore is starting to grow on me.
Any fan of the genre will be able to choke down the hackneyed conventions and cliched plot turns to find a movie that can be witty, a good supporting cast and some great written-for-the-movie pop songs.
