Review of MURPH: The Protector (2013) by T P — 22 Mar 2013
It's not a Hollywood film, so if you are looking for a glamorized version of a hero that makes you feel good, because, you know, it all works out in the end, then you'll like Rob Humanick's "understanding" of the film.
If instead you are looking for a great story, with all its tangible emotions, realities, heartbreak, laughter, and gravitas; and you think that - in the midst of this crazy world where criminals and celebrities get air time for their failings - it would be nice to see the goodness of human beings celebrated then you will want to see this film, probably more than once.
Take your sons and daughters so they can see what it means to truly be a hero who thinks of others before himself. Take your friends to celebrate teamwork, loyalty, and self-sacrifice. Treat yourself - and learn from Murph.
