Review of Muriel's Wedding (1994) by Sophie D — 29 Dec 2007
Don't knock it - watch it again! With real roots in a southern border Qld coastal town - this film combines claustrophobic suburban living-death with aspirational Aussie chicks breaking the mould to make their own mistakes and success.
With many sharp tugs on the heartstrings, C/O paralysed best mate and the sad demise of a loving and down-trodden Mum.
All time fave No. 1.
