Review of Muriel's Wedding (1994) by Nat G — 16 Aug 2010
I saw this film a long time ago and I thought it was completely rubbish, but I was wrong. The is a great little film, very low budget and it looks very dated, but the plot is good, and I was pleasantly surprised.
Toni Collette acting is wonderful to watch watch and she fits the role perfectly, the other acting is solid, and all round the standard is high. The last twenty minutes are quite moving and it's great to see a wedding movie with real heart.
Australian films are very hit and miss, but this one pass's as one of the good ones.
