Excitement is not always a firecracker sometimes it takes a smolder to really settle into something with a new flavor. Of course the film had its mistakes but the tone and humor transitioned those to a very serious and entertaining crescendo never lacking in honesty on all counts.
It is not for everyone but I found it copiously charming and exciting.
