Review of Murder on the Orient Express (2017) by Michael F — 14 Jan 2018
I enjoyed some of the banter and visuals. I never read the book so I don't know how closely this follows the original material, but I found the deductive powers of the detective beyond ridiculous, that lost me.
There just wasn't enough detail in the clues and interviews we see to logically come to the conclusion that the detective reached in this story. I feel like chunks of detail were left out to keep the film at a reasonable run time. I may have to go and read the book - it seems to me that there must be something missing from the film that made the book stand the test of time.
