Review of Murder on the Orient Express (2017) by Nico C — 19 Dec 2017
It's a good movie but not spectacular. The film lacks the most important element of its genre, i.e. suspense. It focused too much on the protagonist being an adroit detective and his frustration over his inability to identify the culprit behind Ratchett's murder rather than the case that demands justice despite the fact that the victim is also a murderer himself.
It tried to explore the tension between justice and morality but failed to have a reasonable conclusion, which isn't much of a departure from the original novel of Agatha Christie.
