Review of Murder on the Orient Express (2017) by Gil S — 15 Dec 2017
MOTOE is a beautiful film. It is visually inviting and the story is developed fairly well in the beginning of the movie. However, the conclusion of the movie is cluttered, rushed and unsatisfying. By the third and final act, the characters are tangled in a stream of incoherent events that have not been introduced before.
The unveiling of the events and the motivation of those involved does not bring the audience to a place of engagement but rather creates an urgency to conclusion, leaving the movie with no emotional connection between the audience and any of the characters.
