Review of Murder on the Orient Express (2017) by Josh K — 16 Mar 2018
While having flaws here and there this movie is a beautifully shot adaptation of the book. Yes the mustache is a bit much but for such a character it is fitting, I found it extremely entertaining, the ending was not as great as the build-up but just as many say it's not the destination but the journey this movie serves as an example.
Solving the murder is perhaps the most intriguing piece of the movie, much like Sherlock Holmes but more practical than supernatural. Our detective gets confused a couple times (rarely) and this is a big refresher from other movies where he always knows what is going on and is ten steps ahead, Poirot is only like five and a quarter.
