Review of Murder on the Orient Express (1974) by Julien L — 04 Dec 2010
This is majestic. Damn majestic. Lumet's direction is as flawless as it could possibly be, the music is fantastic and the photography is just outstanding. But most important of all is this unbelievable cast of excellent actors and actresses.
From older stars such as Bacall and Gielgud to newer (then) faces such as Redgrave and Bisset, all deliver completely (most notably Perkins and Bergman). The mystery is fascinating of course, but watching all these great people is enough for me.
