Review of Murder on a Sunday Morning (2001) by Kim B — 06 Aug 2012
After seeing this movie I was utterly shocked n dumbfounded. I had mistakenly found this innocent teen guilty in my own mind. The ending was such a surprise n makes me feel bad for my own wrongful assumptions.
Even to the last minute when the verdict was read I thought omg they let a guilty man go free. After seeing the short 2 min conclusion boy did I change my mind. In my own head I believed the other lawyer n thought the defense lawyer was a lil coo coo.
I mean really I just couldn't believe these cops n detectives were all bad guys n there was this big conspiracy. Plus the defense lawyer was acting very dramatic and coming of fake bc he was so intense n corny about justice.
I def had jumped to assumptions n realized later that it didn't make sense. Why would he cooperate if he was guilty, why would a 15. yr old with no record just jump to murder, why the bruises, how could it be so coincidental that the 1st person they spot is the murderer, y would he go feed his dog, it doesnt add up.
Anyway the fact that the film helped me believe he was guilty by the way they told it, doesn't make me like it very much. Also the ending was so short n could've explained more bout the aftermath.
Great story could ve been done better. I feel horrible for that kid n their family, this is y interrogations need to be taped.
