Review of Murder by Numbers (2002) by Cheri H — 19 May 2009
Despite showing cracks early and often with Sandra Bullock's unnecessarily over-complicated character, the crime drama part is cool enough that you're still pulling for the film to succeed, but it unfortunately still falls apart by the end.
If it ended 10 minutes sooner and Bullock's character was simplified (i.e. getting rid of everything surrounding "the parole"), this movie could've been a fun crime thriller. However, when you spend more time thinking about how the movie could've been awesome instead of what was actually good about it, it can't be considered that great.
