Review of Murder by Numbers (2002) by John E — 20 Mar 2013
A dull uninspiring thriller where two teenagers try to commit the perfect murder. They almost get away with it if it wasn't for an intrepid detective, Cassie Mayweather. It becomes a battle of wits between Cassie & the arrogant teens throughout the movie.
It's not just their arrogance which is their downfall but the shaky relationship their friendship is build on. We get the TV style scenes of how the murder was committed reminiscent of CSI & Elementary & where they went wrong.
Sandra Bullock's character is possibly the only strong point in the whole movie. We learn how she was almost the victim of a killer herself & this was the motivation behind her career choice. All in all that's it about this movie!
