Review of Murder by Death (1976) by Rick L — 25 Feb 2010
Quite the silliest Neil Simon screenplay - bolstered by some fine comic actors, who somehow keep it going - to be polite, the hit to miss ratio for the gags is finely balanced.
Nancy Walker and Alec Guinness are wonderful as the staff. And Maggie Smith and David Niven do a very charming Nick and Nora-type routine.
But why did it have to have Truman "his voice was so high, only dogs could hear it" Capote?
