Review of Muppet Treasure Island (1996) by Laura B — 04 Nov 2008
This was by far the last GOOD Muppets movie. Tim Curry was an amazing Long John Silver, and the music was very worthy of his presence, even if "When You're A Pirate" was his only number. It was also nice to finally see a movie where he didn't die, for a change.
This was the last Muppet movie to have an original sound track, too. Brian Henson did a good job following in his father's footsteps with this movie, now if only he had kept this formula for Muppets From Space, maybe that one wouldn't have been such a let down.
